Congratulations to LHS senior Jermaine Jones for being ranked in the top 25 in all divisions in the state of Ohio for the 200 M and 400 M runs. He is 21st in the 200 and 10th in the 400....Well done Jermaine!

The Ohio High School Athletic Association will be sending an adjusted spring sports timeline to its member schools after Gov. Mike DeWine announced March 30 that school buildings will remain closed through May 1 because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Athletes and coaches in spring sports currently are in a no-contact period that began March 17 and initially was to run through April 5, but the OHSAA released the following statement March 30 via its Twitter account, @OHSAASports: ”@GovMikeDeWine has announced schools will continue with ‘distance learning’ through May 1. As previously announced, there cannot be school sports if school facilities are not open. #OHSAA staff & @Jerry_Snodgrass will send update to schools with adjusted spring sports timeline.”

Most recent information from the OHSAA states the tenative schedule for return to spring sports is:

April 6-10 Mandatory Practice.
​
April 11th start of competition season with all tournament dates the same at this time for spring sports.

All Track and Field athletes are required to have a current physical on file and complete all preseason paperwork. Please see Coach Colluci or Coach Kellar if you have any questions.
